"Hair is everything... We wish it wasn't.  But it is."  Phoebe Waller-Bridge as Fleabag bemoaned.  So how are we all going to manage during the “lockdown” without our hairdressers ?

I believe we are by now, let me see, two weeks from knowing everyone’s true hair colour?  Are you panicking now access to your trusted hairdresser is on hold? Help is at hand.

Those of you who know me will know I am a longtime fan of Daniel Field natural hair colour which I have been using for years.  Inexpensive, wonderfully forgiving and conditioning, you can use it as often as you like. It fades gradually (don’t be put off by the word “permanent” which they use frequently) over about six weeks.  It comes as a powder which you mix with warm water in the supplied bottle and shake till it becomes a mousse.  You really don’t have to be an expert.  I make a middle parting, clip up one side of my hair and squeeze the mousse along the parting and rub it in.  I then make another parting just below and repeat.  You can use it for roots or to colour your whole head of hair.  In my case it seems to capture the varying shades of my hair (lighter at the front and darker at the back) which looks more natural than a block colour.  I use “Sycamore” - a dark golden blond and leave it on for 45 minutes. You will have to experiment. To reassure you - if it comes out too strong, just give it another wash..

Daniel Field sent an email to their customers to say they are, not surprisingly, receiving far more orders than usual but are managing to keep going with their mail order business. Click here for the Daniel Field website.

I can assure you I receive nothing from Daniel Field to promote them. I simply want you to have some valuable information.
